Steps Everyone Can Take to Help the Earth

While I have always cared about the Earth, I never really know how to help it other than to recycle. One day, I decided to plant flowers on my porch balcony, and as I was looking into gardening tips, I realized that I could plant vegetables on it, too. During my gardening research, I learned about the food shipping industry and just how it benefits the Earth to buy local produce. While necessary, the food shipping industry can cause unnecessary pollution due to every vehicle's emissions that contribute to the Greenhouse Effect. While I grew a few vegetables in my garden, I then began looking into local farmer's markets to help supplement what I grew in my garden to help do my part to protect the Earth. Buying local foods can really benefit the Earth. I plan to share many more tips on helping the environment on my new blog!
